Environmental statements according to EMAS- Transparent by tradition
For more than 20 years, Nordzucker has published environmental statements every year for its factories in Germany based on the requirements of the EMAS Regulation.
In doing so, we make environmental information transparent and strengthen public confidence in our company’s environmental performance – for example, in discussions with citizens, neighbours and authorities in the locality.
EMAS stands for Eco-Management and Audit Scheme. EMAS-certified businesses publish detailed environmental information about their activities and services. This includes communication of the company’s energy and environmental policies, the significant environmental effects of our main activity – the production of sugar – and the annual environmental programme including quantifiable targets to improve environmental protection.
