SugarBeet Expo 2026: A meeting place for the future of the sugar beet

On 9 and 10 September 2026, the DLG SugarBeet Expo will celebrate its premiere in Springe, near Hannover, Germany. This international outdoor exhibition focuses on the sugar beet and offers practical insights into innovations, technologies and the latest developments in sugar beet cultivation. Nordzucker will be represented on site as a regional partner with its own stand.

On both days, visitors can look forward to a varied programme offering insights into trial plots, specialist talks on the Expert Stages, machinery demonstrations and numerous opportunities to exchange ideas with experts from the fields of agriculture, consultancy, research and industry.

At the Nordzucker stand, the focus will be on current issues in sugar beet cultivation: the spread of the cicada Pentastiridius leporinus and managing SBR and stolbur, as well as projects aimed at reducing CO₂ emissions in sugar beet cultivation – in particular the use of CO₂-reduced fertilisers. Together with the regional sugar beet growers’ associations and the Lower Saxony Chamber of Agriculture, Nordzucker invites you to join the discussion on the challenges and opportunities of sustainable sugar beet cultivation.

If you’d like to delve into exciting topics relating to sugar beet cultivation in advance, we recommend the DLG podcast with Björn Kiepe, Head of Agri Consulting and Shared Agri Services: “Resilient and Sustainable Sugar Beet Cultivation”, in which Björn Kiepe discusses current challenges and potential solutions in sugar beet cultivation.

Further information on the exhibition can be found on the website of the SugarBeet Expo.
