Made from beets – products with responsibility
Sugar is a natural product. It begins with sugar beet, most of which is grown regionally and processed by us with great care. We use the raw materials as completely as possible and consider their added value beyond the core product of sugar.
One raw material – multiple uses
In addition to sugar, the processing of sugar beets also yields animal feed, molasses, and other products such as carbonated lime, which are further utilised. This means that no waste is produced and the raw material sugar beet is utilised efficiently.
Further development of our products
Our customers’ demands for sustainability and climate protection are constantly evolving. That is why we are continuously developing our product portfolio. This includes concepts for CO₂-reduced sugar based on defined measures for reducing emissions and transparent data. Our aim is to support our customers in making progress towards decarbonisation across their supply chains.
Focus on packaging and transport
Packaging and logistics are also part of our sustainability approach. We have defined clear targets for reducing packaging material and are working to gradually increase the proportion of recyclable materials. We are continuously optimizing our transport processes with the help of data analysis and specialized software in order to harness efficiency potential and further reduce emissions throughout the supply chain.
