Raw sugar is also processed here. We can process sugar beets from about 170 hectares per day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>We produce sugar, molasses and animal feed in Nyk\u00f8bing. Under the DanSukker brand, we market around half of the sugar produced to the retail sector, while the other half is supplied to the further processing industry. We also produce specialities here, such as brown sugar and icing sugar.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Since 2017, we have been processing ecologically grown sugar beet in Nyk\u00f8bing in addition to conventional beet. This means that the factory is Nordzucker\u2019s third certified location where we extract and crystallize organic sugar. Since 2017, we have been processing organically grown sugar beet in Nyk\u00f8bing in addition to conventional sugar beet.
