Supporting diversity and banishing all prejudice across the Group and in the working environment is the worthwhile aim of the initiative: "Diversity as an opportunity - the Diversity Charter for companies in Germany". Nordzucker became a signatory to this charter in 2013, to join the other representatives of German industry officially pledged to respect and value diversity.
Nordzucker signed up to the initiative for good reasons: diversity is a key success factor for the commercial wellbeing of enterprises because diversity is a prerequisite for the creation of innovative ideas. We therefore think in terms of competence - independent of race, ethnic origin, sex, religion, ideology, handicap, age or sexual identity (Section 1 General Law on Equal Treatment).
